It has always been an honor for PHAREX HealthCorp to contribute to the continued education of the nation’s medical society, and our pleasure to cooperate with the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP) in achieving a physician for every Filipino family. The most recent product of this partnership is the materialization of a PAFP-PHAREX Library and Museum.

The project was conceptualized two years ago by Dr. Ramon Angeles, and required a tedious process of completion. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between PHAREX and PAFP was signed on Sept 12, 2013 by then-National President of PAFP Dr. Christine S. Tinio and PHAREX President Mr. Tomas Marcelo G. Agana III. Dr. Nina Dizon, building committee chair of PAFP, served as witness to the signing, which sealed both parties’ commitment to the project, and Also present were members of the PAFP Board and of the PHAREX Management Committee. The project was then spearheaded by PHAREX President and CEO, Mr. Tomas Marcelo G. Agana III, and by PAFP National President Dr. Christine S. Tinio.

At the culmination of this process was a ribbon cutting that opened the PAFP- PHAREX library and museum. To commemorate the founding President of PAFP, the library was named the Dr. Ramon R. Angeles PAFP- PHAREX HealthCorp Library and Museum.

The PAFP National President and the PAFP Board of Directors, joined by PHAREX Vice President for Sales and Marketing Ms. Timmie S. Guillermo, were present at the library’s opening. PHAREX expressed its gratitude to PAFP for the opportunity to participate in the project and Ms. Guillermo, on PHAREX’s behalf, also handed over computers, printers and an LCD-projector to the library. These resources, along with the rest of the library’s materials, will now be accessible to members of PAFP from all over the Philippines.

PHAREX is committed in supporting medical research and development in the country. The completion of this project, which shall institute continuous medical education through research, has helped to further this mission.
