A toast to years of success and welcoming more years of fruitful endeavors was recently shared by Pharex HealthCorp, one of the country’s pioneers in generic medicines, and the Cebu medical community in an exclusive gathering that celebrated more than two decades of solid partnership in giving Cebuanos quality healthcare.
Pharex gathered top doctors and drugstore owners from the Queen City of the South for the momentous occasion held at The Waterfront Hotel, to recognize its longstanding relationship with the region and its unwavering support for Pharex’s commitment to give Cebuanos and Filipinos in general high-quality yet affordable medical care.
“This is a celebration of a solid partnership that has indeed made a positive difference in the lives of Cebuanos. We’ve always considered Cebu as one of our top and ever-growing markets and we’re delighted that it has always been one with us in our thrust to provide quality healthcare for our customers. This affair is also a fitting venue to introduce Pharex’s new programs, plans and campaigns, which are all to benefit our customers and help us sustain our leadership in the market as a top generic medicines provider,” said Tomas Marcelo Agana III, president and chief executive officer of Pharex HealthCorp.
During the event, Pharex introduced its lineup of programs and activities for the year geared at intensifying the company’s vision of giving Filipinos greater access to high-quality, affordable medicines.

The Phase 2 of the program will focus on the technical perspective or the pharmacoeconomics aspect of the program.
Also during the event, Cebu doctors and guests got to preview the Pharex B Complex TV ad featuring its endorser, top broadcaster Mel Tiangco.
In line with its commitment to strengthening its relationship with the Cebu medical community, Pharex also announced its renewed partnership with GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) through its “Kalusugan Karavan” medical mission. The caravan aims to provide quality health and medical care to patients in the provinces.
Tiangco, who is also GMAKF executive vice president, made a surprise appearance to explain the program in detail as well as encourage more Cebu doctors to participate in the caravan.
After the presentations, guests got to enjoy and party with Zee band, one of Cebu’s top bands since the 1980s. Band members Eva Santos, Bernie Uy, Archie Marcial and Chad Borja rendered hit after hit that kept the crowd in party mode. The gathering indeed reiterated Pharex and Cebu’s commitment to continuously provide Cebuanos and Filipinos convenient access to quality healthcare, especially in this day and age of price hikes.
