When something harmful or irritating affects a part of our body, there is a biological response to try to remove it. Inflammation can be uncomfortable, but it means that the body is starting to heal itself.

Even in the strongest of marriages, romance comes and goes. Having children, dealing with mortgages and loan payments, and just getting into the daily bustle of family life can make your spouse feel more like a partner, not a lover.
Good news: it’s never too late to rekindle your spark. Just follow these romance tips so you can “C” your spouse in a new light!
Learn to speak their love language.
According to Dr. Gary Chapman, we all have our own “love language” where we feel most loved and affirmed. This can range from physical touch, words of affirmation, quality time, gifts, to acts of service. (Any of these sound like yours?)
If you don’t already know, find out what your partner’s love language is and act accordingly—this helps you communicate your love for each other better.
Truth check: Oftentimes, it’s the small things (a missed date night, a forgotten errand, a careless remark) that lead to huge fights.
Remember, thoughtfulness goes a long way. These seemingly little things may mean a lot to your partner, so act with more intention moving forward.
Burn your resentments. (Literally!)
As per therapist Dr. Juliana Morris, one way to bring back the spark in a faltering relationship is to literally burn your resentments. Yes, you read that right!
Set a date with your spouse and write all of your resentments on tiny pieces of paper. Then, using a pit or a burning bowl, set the pieces on fire and finally let go of all those hidden negativity and grudges.
Keep date night sacred.
With the chaos of day-to-day life, you may gradually lose touch with your partner. Intimacy may be replaced with efficiency—much to the chagrin of you both.
The solution? Date night! Set aside one night on the week where you both make an effort to foster intimacy with each other. It can be as grand as a romantic dinner at a glitzy restaurant, or as simple as a shared meal at home accompanied by a hearty heart-to-heart.
